The most beautiful place I know...Lake Tahoe

Every year since I can remember my family vacationed in Tahoe. (My family has a house in Incline Village) I have such fond memories of our family trips to Lake Tahoe. I want to share all those wonderful experiences with Brooke and look foward to using the cabin as a family soon! We decided to head up just for the day today and hang out at Burnt Cedar beach. Sara and Chris decided to join us (Chris and I worked a plan so he could propose to her on the beach!!!) So we packed our cars and headed up to my favorite place. The weather wasn't great (it sprinkled) so we didn't jump into our swimsuits, but we did enjoy a picnic lunch and lots of laughter! Brooke was the only brave one that actually got in the water (as you can see she loved it) Chris was also brave and asked Sara to marry him right there on the beach-it was so sweet! This was such a special day and reminded me of all the magic and joy that Tahoe brought to my family and all the memories Scott, Brooke, and I will continue to make.

Good friends, Good food, Good times!

We had the Huff, Sayles, and Impey families over for a bbq this weekend, it was a blast! There was 6 girls under the age of 3 and they were having so much fun (and all got along!) They swam with their daddies, played on the swingset, and in the playhouse. After our yummy dinner (thanks hubby!) we played some American Idol Wii and let the girls take out everytoy in the house! Lots of little girl love -it was too cute!

Rockin' Around .........

My school had a Sock Hop this past Friday. I wanted to go see my students so I brought Brookie along. My friend Leslie made Brooke the cutest poodle skirt. She loved it! She twirled and danced. She really liked the 50's music!

Happy Mommy's Day!!!

Mommy Pedis

Brookie and Mommy

I was reading my good friend Krista's blog and it triggered a thought........When you date someone for a long time they want to know when you are getting married, when you get married everyone wants to know when the kids are coming, and when you have a kid everyone asks when the next one is coming. Brooke is getting to the age now that has everyone asking when the next one is coming?!?! Right now in my life I am so content being Brooke's mom and I am amazed at how much you can love someone. So it is not to say sometime in the future more children will come but on this Mother's Day I am so thankful for the precious daugther that we are so lucky to have. She is our pride and joy! SO I will keep answering that question-we will have another when we are ready but for now we are so lucky to have Brooke!
