How does a jelly fish feel to touch?

The tide coming right over us!

I hope I don't get wet!!

The object the kids touch lights up to show a match

Under the Sea

We are ready for the aquarium!

On our second day in Monterey we headed to the Aquarium (thanks for the passes Jen and family). The kids were amazed at all the sights! They would get really close to glass and stare and point. They would jump from exhibit to exhibit. The aquarium has changed a lot since I went when I was younger. There were lots of huge tanks of fish, sharks, kelp, etc. There were sea otters and penguins, interactive activities for the kids. There was also a place called Splash Zone which had games, art, and water activities for the kids to play with. Brooke loved all the different sea animals and even touched the star fish. When Brianne was awake her eyes would get big and she would really focus on the bright colors and large fish! Brooke told me her favorite was the jelly fish because they were "really pretty" and she was not a fan (tears were shed) of the penguins. One of the penguins jumped right at the window she was looking at and she was spooked! Overall it was a really fun day with lots of new experiences for the kids. We will definetly be visiting there again when Brianne is older! Thanks Evos for a great time and lots of laughs!

"Pier" Family Fun

Cruising Fun!

Loving life on the bike!

Checking out the seals!

To start off the summer vacationing with a bang we headed to Monterey to take in the beautiful scenery and visit the sealife at the aquarium!! Shortly after checking into our hotel we headed over to the pier to check out the sea lions (they stink!) , look at the shops, and ride some bikes. After a long walk to search for the perfect bike, we ended up on a large family bike-it was hilarious! We pedaled up and down the paths-laughing...and sweating! The kids smiled and honked the horn-even Bri was loving it! The dads were sure to ride extra fast so they could enjoy happy hour too!

"Water"melon Babies Part II

All smiles for Bri Bri!

Top deck with no water wings!!!

Look at that smile of pride -she just swam across the pool with no water wings!!

Grandma and Grandpa came up for a visit. It was hot and they wanted to see Brookie's new swimming skills, so we took a dip in the pool. Grandma LOVED swimming with her little girlies. You can see from the smiles on the girls faces that they loved it too!

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!!!!

Last week I took Brooke to see Toy Story 3 and she loved it! We went with our friends Danielle and Rylee. They sat through the whole movie and didn't even really get restless........of course they enjoyed the popcorn, candy, and juice! Brooke's favortie was Buzz Light Year!!!

Buzz LightYear dropped this off in Brookie's room so she would have some treats at the movie!

Today we headed out to Camp FarWest to cruise on the Evos boat and take in some sunshine! We all had such a wonderful time. We went tubing, ate yummy food, and the kids played in the sand. Fun was had by all!!! Brooke summed it when she told me this as I was her to bed, "Mom, I love going fast on Uncle Ry Ry's boat, I want to do it again soon, and I want Mar Mar, Trevy and Aunt Jackie to be there!" This was another fun day in our annual Evo/Seffens Father Day event!

Trying out the new slide!

We are so fortunate to have such wonderful friends in the Kimble Family. I was telling a woman at the park the other day that our college friends were coming to visit from SoCal for the weekend and she said "how rare that you actually make the effort to see eachother-that is so nice your families will grow up together" Jen and I have always made sure we see each other a few times a year (trust me it gets harder with the kiddos) and I feel so lucky that we have that special connection and our kids are growing up together! We always have such a fun time and everything is always so easy! We love them all dearly and hope they know how thankful we are for all their genorousity and friendship over the years!!!! Looking forward to many more fun times!
