The Christmas celebration continued when the rest of my family joined us in Rocklin for a yummy turkey dinner and more good times. Auntie Lori, Kyle and Gramps spent the afternoon and early evening with us. It is always so nice to have our family all together. It makes the holidays that much more special.

The Vares Family

Waking up Christmas morning with your kids, as they run downstairs to open their gifts they have been desperately waiting for......it really is magic. Brooke's main gift she wanted this year was a pink princess castle. She also wanted a Princess scooter and bike. The scooter was given as a gift by her cousins on Xmas Eve so she got the bike Xmas morning. Bri Bri also got a little tricycle too (that she will have to wait and grow into to ride)! Santa brought Brennan a hot wheels race track and Kailynn's big gift was a laptop from Grammy!!! The kids got lots of wonderful gifts (the adults made out well with us getting a new FLIP camera, Tien getting a new Nano, and Grammy getting a Kindle) and have enjoyed playing with their new toys! I LOVE the MAGIC of Christmas morning! It makes me feel so happy to wake up in our warm cozy house with our loved ones, watching everyone laugh and smile!

My girls with Santa

Brooke loved Santa

Look at all the dolls from Grandma and Grandpa (this was earlier that morning)

Another great Christmas Eve at Grandma Florence's house. The kids looked adorable in their matching dresses and minks from Grandma and Grandpa. We enjoyed the wonderful company of the family, the yummy Swedish food, and good times exchanging presents & singing some Christmas Carols. Santa was a big hit as the kids waited by the window and checked out the back deck looking for Santa's sleigh. The girls loved him when he came. Bri Bri liked pulling on his beard and Brooke was so excited for her gift. There is so much love to go around when you have such a big family-it is awesome! Grandma Florence and the helpers did a great job making a beautiful feast (note to self take a picture of all the Swedish food next year) I always enjoy this great night!

This is our 3rd year of baking cookies with the Evos and best year yet. The girls loved it and really didn't want to stop rolling and decorating. They were pretty independent and able to do most of the stuff themselves. It is so fun to see how "mature" they are getting.

Our family at the lights

They loved seeing the Toy Story characters

Alice and Wonderland

JESSE!!!!!

Checking out the lights

The Evos

Bri loving her gift from the Evos...all the kids wanted it

This is our 3rd year of the Evo/Seffens Christmas. As always it was lots of fun. We did our big cookie project, then checked out the lights (we walked this time) and the kids were really into all the character cut outs they had. We weaved back and forth across the street to see all the different houses. We came back for dessert and presents. All the kids loved their gifts, but they especially liked Bri Bri's Princess ride on toy. Such a wonderful time with good friends. I look forward to continuing to watch the kids grow and enjoy these events even more.

Christmas Traditions

It seems like we have a few new/old traditions with our girls and our friends with are making the holidays even more fun. We have our visit to Santa, special ornaments for the tree, and the 2nd Impey/Lauer/Seffens Christmas with an evening of presents, lights, good food and fun , and our 4th annual visit with Krista and girls.

A picture with Santa
I wasn't sure how Brooke or Bri for that matter would do with the big guy this year, but they both did great and loved him! Brooke told him that she wanted a pink princess castle and sister wanted a bike!??! I hope Santa brings them what they want!!!

Each year since Brooke was born I have given her a new ornament to hang on our tree to remember what she liked or was into that year. This year was a Disney year at our house, so Brooke and Brianne got ornaments that matched their Halloween costumes and favorite characters at Disneyland. Brooke got Jesse and Brianne got Minnie Mouse

Brooke's ornament this year-Jesse the Cowgirl

Bri Bri's ornament -Minnie Mouse

Yeah-Jesse!

Putting Santa on top of the tree

Decorating the Christmas tree is so much fun now that Brooke can help me/or boss me around (lol) on where the ornaments should go. When I was a kid I LOVED playing with the ornaments. They would interact and play with different decorations around the house. As we were putting up the ornaments I was watching Brooke do the same thing I used to do -it was so cute~

The Girls all ready to go see the lights

Brooke and Hailey

Girls checking out the lights from the truck

Mommy and Bri Bri all bundled up

This is our second annual Seffens/Impey/Lauer Christmas. We have a tradition of getting yummy soup bowls, opening presents, riding in the back of Scott's truck to see the awesome Christmas lights, and having lots of fun! With 7 girls running around it can get crazy, but they all get along so good and it's so fun to see them enjoy each other's company. I feel lucky that I have these wonderful friends and to have their great families in our lives. Christmas is all the joy in life and my friends bring me great joy!

Lund/Seffens visit (pics to come)
This is our 4th year of getting the girls together with Krista. The last three years we have been lucky enough to see Tara too! It is so much watching Brooke and Katelyn developing personalities and truly playing together. This year Emily and Bri Bri had fun chasing each other as they crawled around. Krista, as always, was the hostess with the mostest and spoiled us with treats and a little photo session too!
