Pre School

My parents always had a spot where we took pictures on the first day of school every year, I think this will be our family spot. Thanks Auntie Lori for my cool backpack too!

Cutie Pie Since we bought this house I have been looking forward to this walk Out in front of preschool Brooke is not a shy one, she jumped right into her art activity

So Brooke has been attending an in home preschool and Mia does a great job ( and academically she does great), but I wanted to expose her to even more students in a classroom and learn about the structure of a classroom. I also thought it would so great to meet kiddos that would be moving onto her home elementary school. So I looked into signing her up for the city preschool at RockCreek (the school by our house) for next year. When I called they said they would be having a lottery for one spot in the classroom or I could start her now and gurantee a spot for next year. So we started her this week and she loved it! The night before I put out some outfits for her to choose from and we got her backpack all ready and we talked about expectations when you're in school. That morning we dropped sister off at Mia's and I dropped her off at preschool. I took a half day so I could enjoy the moment of her first day. We walked to school together and when we got there she tore off her backpack and her sweater and jumped right into the activites. It was bug week, so they had science tables set up with bug cards to look at and an art station. I am pretty sure I could have left without saying good bye and she probably wouldn't have noticed. I am so proud of her for having that ability to jump into new situations with out fear! When I picked her up she told me how much fun she had. She told me some new friends she had met and what she had learned. It was so much fun to be able to experience this new "big girl" stuff with her.

The little things..........

We think we can fit in this bed....really?!!?!? This kid has the most amazing imagination! She plays with such a variety of toys and changes her voice for them, and acts out all these little scenarios. It is awesome to watch! Cutie pie at the park-learning to climb on everything and finally likes the swings.....

but don't go too fast! NOT A POSED PICTURE...promise! Scott yelled to me downstairs the other day and said you have to see these two girls. This is what I walked into-so sweet. Brooke had helped her get up on the chair and got a book for Bri to read also! WOW! What a change in weather! It was 82 degrees yesterday!!!! The girls were getting their toes wet with daddy! Looked out the window the other day and thought this was too cute.......Brooke had decided to get off of her swing and push sister......ps-Yes, Bri is still wearing her jammies and yes they are Christmas ones!

This past weekend was the first weekend since NOVEMBER that we didn't have anything going on........it was so awesome! We just lounged around and played lots. I was thinking man I have nothing to blog about .....but then thought I should just focus on the simple things. So I am sharing some simple moments where my kids weren't dressed perfect, their hair wasn't done but they were being them and they were happy doing it! I just love our family time together! Both girls are growing up soooo fast. Brooke is a little "adult" and Brianne is the little explorer these days! They continue to amaze us!

CABO was AMAZING!!! Too short but tons of fun! We went for one of my dear friends weddings. When I met Alysia our freshman year of college we would always talk about our dream wedding and when I walked into the wedding site for Alysia's wedding it was the picture she always described. It was absolute perfection! She was gorgeous and her a G.O. looked so happy! She was such a huge part of our wedding I was so glad to there to share in hers.

It was lots of fun to see my Chico friends and share in good laughs with Alysia's LA friends. We had lots of fun touring downtown Cabos night life, there were many beers, lots of tequila, tons of laughs and great new memories. Scott and I of course missed our girls but enjoyed the time to be together-it is always so good to have that time!

Below are some pictures of all the fun I got to have at Alysia's prewedding festivities
