Happy day at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo!

We left Tahoe and headed to the Bay Area to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma read about the Happy Hollow Park & Zoo being remodeled so we headed there for a day of fun! Brooke LOVED it! It was perfect size for her and she enjoyed all the rides and seeing the different animals. She rode the Danny the Dragon train, went on flying swings, played in the giant playground, rode the Merry-Go-Round and the ladybug ride, and even fed some animals at the petting zoo! I know Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed treating Brooke (and Brianne) to a day of fun!! Here they are enjoying some of the fun!

Brianne and Harlow

After getting back from being the Maid of Honor in a weekend of wedding festivities we packed up and headed to Tahoe with the Impey's. Their family got a new boat and they were anxious to ride on it so we headed up for a quick, fun trip! The girls had such a blast. We took the boat out to Emerald Bay and the girls loved riding with their hair blowing in the wind. The played on the beach and the dads did a little tubing too! We bbq'd, had a ladder ball rematch and enjoyed time with friends. The next week we spend some time on the beach, played at the park and enjoyed yummy dinner by the river! It is such a beautiful place to make memories with great friends!

Little Red Car

"The Driver"

"The cruiser"

A great team!!!!

This toy got so much use from big sister Brooke so we decided that since Bri is sitting up pretty well we would try her in it. They both thought it was lots of fun. Brooke liked being "in charge" and Bri liked cruising around!!! (Notice Brianne is wearing a bib-this is a must at all time now because she is cutting her first tooth and drooling like crazy!)

The girls on the merry go round

Today we headed to the zoo and Funderland with my friend Daphne and her girlies! We have been to the zoo lately but haven't been to the new giraffe exhibit so we wanted to try that out. After a trip around the zoo we headed to Funderland where Brooke rode the airplanes, octopus, tea cups, cars, and both roller coasters. Bother girls got to go on the merry go round! It was a nice day and boy were the girls tired after a long day of fun!!!!

Side note on Brooke's bravery:
Brooke is often time scared of big animals when they get too close. But today on our visit to the zoo she was amazing! She fed the giraffes (its a new exhibit at the Sac Zoo-you can walk up and feed the giraffes leaves)Then as we were walking over to Funderland there were pony rides and she decided she wanted to do that, but she didn't pick the pony she picked the full size horse to ride. She told me that it looked like Sleeping Beauty's horse. Then once we were in Funderland she went on every single ride-even the fast roller coaster it was really fun to see her challenge herself and try new things!

PeAs!!!

I am ready to GO!!!

We gave Brianne her first go round at baby food today and she loved it! I remember feeding Brooke for the first time and she made this horrible face so I was expecting Brianne to do the same but she just took a bite and SMILED! She ate about a 1/3 of the small baby food container and then decided she was full. It is so fun to go through these milestones with her. She is such a love bug!

Happy to be jumping away!

Little Miss Brianne is growing up too fast.......I can't believe it has already been 5 months since we brought her home from the hospital. She has such a great little personality and is just a very happy go lucky type of baby and couldn't be loved more!

Here is what she is up to at 5 months:

LOVES her jumper and saucer
Rarely stays on her back and almost always is on her belly
Is starting to sit up pretty well

Is on a pretty good nap schedule.....usually 3 a day (2 big ones and a short one before dinner)
Still breastfed
Loves floating in the pool
Is getting her first tooth, which is leading to lots of drooling!
Smiles ALL THE TIME and coos
Reacts and follows people when they talk
Gives her sister the biggest smiles and shrieks when she her sister plays with her

Jelly Belly Good Time

Welcome to the Jelly Belly Factory!

Hailey, Hannah, and Brooke in front of the factory

Bri, Kailynn, and Grammy getting ready for the tour

Just the girls

Kailynn waiting to test new jelly bean flavors at the sample bar

Loving the bag of jelly bellies you get at the end of the tour

Today we headed to the Jelly Belly factory to take the tour and enjoy some yummy treats. We went with the Impey girls, cousin Kailynn and Grammy. We have been telling Kailynn we would take her for a few years but kept running out of time on her visits, so this time we made sure we visited. The girls were really excited and enjoyed watching the machines make the jelly beans.....Did you know if takes 3 weeks to make a jelly bean? (I learned that on the tour). We enjoyed some samples on the tour, did a little jelly belly shopping, ate lunch in the jelly cafe (Kailynn even got a jelly belly shaped hamburger) It was a really fun experience for all of us. We were so glad we were able to share it with ourgood friends the Impeys girls, Kailynn, and Grammy.
