Getting ready for Fun and Funderland

My friend Jen came to visit with her three kids-it was crazy at times but so fun!!! Camp Seffens was in full effect. We went to the sprinkler park, the waterpark, Funderland, and did a lot swimming and playing in the backyard! The kids all had such a great time. It is so nice to have friends that you have shared so many wonderful memories with and then to watch your kids make some many new memories. Although we don't see them as much as we like (since we live in different parts of CA) the Kimbles mean a lot to our family and we feel lucky to have them in our lives!

Building sand castles

Jaclyn and I decided it would be fun to take both families camping for Father's Day weekend, but with 3 kids under the age of 3 we were starting to think we were crazy.....Well come to find out when your surrounded by great friends it always turns out wonderful. We headed up to Oroville on Friday. We set up camp and enjoyed our evening (except when my normally perfect sleeper decided that 10:30-12 AM was a good time to play)Saturday we took the Evos boat out and enjoyed a ride on the lake, a nice lunch on our little island, and did some tubing. We headed back for naptime (don't worry Brooke didn't have any more sleeping issues!) The boys did a great job on the bbq and we treated the girls to their first Smores experience. Once the kids were asleep the adults enjoyed a few games of Spades (yes Jaclyn and Scott beat us!)and some chit chat by the fire! It was such a fun experience and we couldn't have imagined sharing it with anyone different.

Happy Father's Day!

There isn't a day that hasn't gone by in the last 5 years that I haven't missed my dad, but each year when Father's Day rolls around it is always a difficult day for me. My dad was the most wonderful man I knew. He was a provider, a friend, a supporter (of every decision we ever made). He was determined, successful, lovable, and the most amazing person I knew. My dad wanted nothing but the best for us and showed us what a family is. There have been so many events in my life in the last 5 years my dad has not been here to rejoice in,but I am positive he is somewhere watching us all and beaming with pride. I feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful man raise me and I am who I am because of all my parents love and support!

Woodcreek Water Park

Today we started our second year of swim lessons. This year we are taking lessons at the Woodcreek Aquatic Center. The class isn't as structured as last years...but fun! (I think they are just trying to get the kiddos used to the water at that age). Brooke and Marren are both really good with the water so they had a great time swimming around with their dads. They practiced their ready-ready unders and their big kicks. There was also this cool water park inside the Aquatic Center, where the girls were able to climb the equipment and go down the big slide. It had lots of sprayers and faucets. I don't know who had more fun in the water park-the girls or their dads! We have lessons for 2 weeks-so check back for snapshots of our exciting adventures!

A Day at the Zoo!

Daddy and Brookie about to ride the train
Brooke telling us where she wants to go next

Checking out the bears!

These flamingos are cool!

Off we go!

Brooke loves animals and likes to immitate their noises, we thought she was ready to go to the zoo. So, we headed to the San Francisco Zoo for the day. Brooke LOVED having the open area to run around and enjoyed checking out all the animals. Her favorites were the giraffes, the lions, the polar bear, and Penguins. She also loved the train ride around the zoo! It was a great way to spend my first day of vacation........with the two people I love most in the world!!! We were moving so much I didn't take too many pics, but here are a few...........

"Last Day of School"

Brooke, Mia, and Abby on the last day!

Brooke and Hailey in August when they first started Mia's!

On Friday, Brooke had her last day of school...well daycare! She has had such a wonderful year and Mia has been such a blessing. She is so patient and kind. It is hard as a mom to trust someone to help raise your child while you are gone. We have been so happy with the progress and friendships Brooke has made. She adores the other children and will miss the big girls that are moving onto preschool, but knows that Abby and Hailey will be back!

Little Helper

My finished product!
Adding the sauce!

Brooke is very into helping and imitating EVERYTHING we do these days. So, on Sunday I was making a pizza and she wanted to help cook. So I let her add the sauce-she thought it was the greatest!

Take me Out to the Ball Game and CAN I JUST RUN AROUND?

Benny and Trev

When all else fails-COLOR!

Well we decided to take Brooke to her first professional (well Triple AAA) baseball game. Our friend Benny is playing for the minor league SkyHawks, which is the Colorado Rockies organization. They were in town playing the Rivercats. Ben was nice enough to leave us front row seats, so we headed down with the Evos to Raley Field! Now we were realistic and took two cars, since we new the kids wouldn't last the entire game (since the start of the game is Brooke's normal bedtime)! It was so good to see Benny and for him to meet Brookie, Marren and Trev! We checked out the field, explored the whole staduim-thanks to my wild and crazy Brooke! The kiddos made it to the 5th inning (longer than I thought!) and the Mommies left with them and the Daddies stayed and watch Benny pitch. It was a very fun experience and as always I am glad we got to experience it with our wonderful friends!!
