Riding Poppy the horse

Every year is always an adventure when we set out with the Evangelho's to find the perfect Christmas tree. Jaclyn tried her best to find a place close by and with a good atmosphere this year. The beginning of our trip was a bit comical but we ended up finding a nice place and all having a grea time. The first place we went had maybe 25 trees and said it was open, but we couldn't find anyone there. Then the second place was still set up as a pumpkin patch (he hadn't got his trees yet). The third place had maybe 6 trees planted, so we decided to head back to a place called Poppy Lane. We had been there 2 years ago (you don't get to cut them down but it has a better atomosphere than just your standard tree lot). After laughing off the other tree farms we had attempted, we had a nice picnic lunch, the kids got to run around, each family found the perfect tree, and everyone had a good time. Thanks to the Evos for another fun year of Christmas tree hunting. Cheers to year 7 of tree hunting!

Wacky Tack ball room and slides!!!

There are many reasons I love teaching but one of the biggest reasons is that it allows me very good hours and more time with my children! The breaks are always centered around holidays and allows me to enjoy many fun acitivies with my kiddos. This week was our Fall break. Trying to keep Miss Brooke busy, we took in a morning at Wacky Tacky, a morning at the Art Beast (followed by a girls lunch), and the very first showing of Tangled (the new Disney Movie). Then we headed to the Bay Area for a dinner at Grammy's house, where we got to see Grammy, Great Grandpa, Grantie Lori, Aunt Patty, and Cousing Kyle and Kat. It was a whirlwind week but sooo much fun. Brooke is at the age where she remembers the things we do now and loves all the activities and of course Brianne is a good sport. Although she is such a mover now that she keeps me on my toes.

Dancin' Machine

Rylee and Brooke (year 2 of dance class)

This is a favorite for sure!

Brooke has loved jumping into that pile of foam cubes

Look at that balance on my own!

Arms up!

Arms out!

We took a tiny tot ballet class last year and I felt it was a good experience for Brooke to have to listen to a teachers directions and perform with other kiddos. It was also really good exercise. We signed her up for the next level (she is actually slightly under the age limit-but they let her in) She has done fairly well keeping up. There have been a few days where I have picked her up from school and could tell we were in for it (lol) For the most part she has enjoyed the dancing part and loves the gymnastics part. They are praciting right now for their upcoming recital. It is fun having her come home and show us parts of the routine that she knows. I will keep you updated with the recital details soon............Also some of the pics have spots because i had to shoot through the glass window ;)

Brianne { 9 Months}

PIGTAILS!!!!!

How big is the baby? Sooooooo BIG!

YEAH!!!!

Each month that goes by is another moment I go............where did the time go? Brianne continues to be such a sweetheart and I can't imagine life without her. She is so precious and we love her dearly

Here is what BriBri is up to at 9 months:
Wearing size 3 diapers
Wearing 9 month, 6-12 months clothing
Moved into a big girl carseat
Crawls EVERYWHERE!!!!! Wants to be right by big sister............
She pulls herself up on EVERYTHING!!! I mean EVERYTHING....stools, tables, chairs, the dishwasher, toys, etc.
Has two teeth
Still smiles all the time and has the best laugh
LOVES her big sister-I catch her watching sisters every move
Has a perfect A line haircut-she has super long hair by her ears and short hair in the back (still debating whether to cut it or not)
Eats 3 meals a day-started giving her people food-avocado, mashed potatoes, string cheese, yogurt
Can clap her hands, wave bye-bye, and will throw her hands in the air-when you say "how big is the baby?"....SO BIG! (thanks Grammy for teaching her that)
Loves the bath and could stay in the tub forever
Doesn't like to be left alone in a room would rather follow the commotion
Says Dada
Still a good sleeper-takes two 2-hour naps and sleeps from about 7:30ish to 6ish.
Is soooo loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very first day of the Christmas Parade-it was awesome!!!

We went on this big Ferris Wheel!

If you're a parent then you have all felt that pure JOY when you see your children experience amazing things for the first time. Their smile and look of pure happiness is worth every penny and ounce of sweat that went into the event. Watching my girls, more specifically Brooke (since Brianne is a bit young) at Disneyland was so fun. I know we went a few months ago, but this was our little family trip and we did whatever Brooke wanted to do. Her favorite thing was meeting all the characters and getting them to sign her autograph book. She went on tons of rides and told me "It's a Small World" and the Ferris Wheel were her favorites.
We were busy on Thursday-we took in tons of rides and met some characters, Friday was more crowded so we did the princess and fairy thing and then headed over to California Adventure. We even watched the World of Color light show, which was amazing! (My mom came to our hotel and picked Bri up so we could stay out later with Brooke) Of course there was still more we could have done but I think we were all pretty tired after two full days at Disneyland. It gave us an extra day to go visit Uncle Toby, Auntie Titi , Cousin Kailynn and Brennan.
