outside my window ... is our pool-I am so glad we put that in!!!

i am thinking ... about my dad (it's his birthday tomorrow) and thinking I will make his world famous pancakes tomorrow in honor of him turning 64~!

i am thankful for ... the usual: healthy family, loving husband, amazing daughter, a child I can't wait to meet, wonderful family, supportive friends, blah blah blah and then the superficial stuff like, my camera, comfy clothes, a good job, and a nice house

around the house ... it is clean-actually thanks to mom, I cleaned all my maternity clothes out!

Baby makes 4...................

Brooke is so excited to announce that she will be a big sister soon!!!

We are expecting our second child, February 26, 2010!!! We have had two ultrasounds and got to hear the heartbeat again today. That is always an amazing feeling and a relief to make it through the first trimester. I am 12.5 weeks and feeling good (tired but what mom of an almost two year old isn't-right?). Brooke loves kissing mommy's belly and telling the baby how much she loves it! It is amazing how much faster your stomach pops out the second time around-maternity clothes here I come! I am also really excited that two good friends are expecting babies right around the same time-should be fun! Scott and I feel so blessed and are hoping for a healthy baby (with all it's organs in the right place this time!) and are excited for our family of 3 to become 4!!!

Make New Memories ...Cherish the Old

In a prior post I talked about Tahoe being one of my favorite places in the world!! It did not disappoint this trip either. My family has gone to Tahoe every summer for as long as I can remember. We have spent such wonderful family times there. It is also the place we spread my dad's ashes. My Nani recently passed away and we knew she wanted nothing more than to join my dad so we decided to spread her ashes in the same place. My mom, Toby, Tien, Kailynn, and Brennan all traveled to Sacramento for a few days. We were able to visit with good friends and Grandpa even came to see us!

Brooke loved her Aunt Titi, Uncle Toooby, and cousins Kailynn and Brennan. Everyday she asks where they are and when they are coming back. She is also curious of why Grammy is not here!??! It is so nice that she has become attached to both our families since we can't see them all the time.

Then we headed to Tahoe. It was great......the boys golfed, we fished for crawdads, hung out on the beach, ate yummy food, and laughed with good friends. The morning we placed Nani's ashes was so peaceful, we said our goodbyes and talked about good times. It was a special moment knowing she was with her son again.

We decided that this needs to be a yearly tradition (minus spreading the ashes) as we continued to make such wonderful memories and honor those that have left us too early!
