Pre School
Cutie Pie Since we bought this house I have been looking forward to this walk Out in front of preschool Brooke is not a shy one, she jumped right into her art activity
So Brooke has been attending an in home preschool and Mia does a great job ( and academically she does great), but I wanted to expose her to even more students in a classroom and learn about the structure of a classroom. I also thought it would so great to meet kiddos that would be moving onto her home elementary school. So I looked into signing her up for the city preschool at RockCreek (the school by our house) for next year. When I called they said they would be having a lottery for one spot in the classroom or I could start her now and gurantee a spot for next year. So we started her this week and she loved it! The night before I put out some outfits for her to choose from and we got her backpack all ready and we talked about expectations when you're in school. That morning we dropped sister off at Mia's and I dropped her off at preschool. I took a half day so I could enjoy the moment of her first day. We walked to school together and when we got there she tore off her backpack and her sweater and jumped right into the activites. It was bug week, so they had science tables set up with bug cards to look at and an art station. I am pretty sure I could have left without saying good bye and she probably wouldn't have noticed. I am so proud of her for having that ability to jump into new situations with out fear! When I picked her up she told me how much fun she had. She told me some new friends she had met and what she had learned. It was so much fun to be able to experience this new "big girl" stuff with her.
